AI reporting & dashboards for property management

Nobody got into hospitality to build pivot tables. So stop.

You need one number, so you open a report builder, pick fields, export it and rebuild half of it in a spreadsheet. In ApexOS you ask the question in a sentence and Apex builds the report from your property data. Then you ask the next one.

Monday’s question, answeredApex Artifacts

Animation: an operator types “Build a weekly revenue report for Lakeside by unit type, compared to last year” and presses Generate Artifact. Apex builds a report with revenue, ADR, occupancy and RevPAR against last year and a chart of ADR by unit type. The operator asks Apex to split ADR into weekday and weekend, the chart updates in place, and the report is put on a weekly schedule.

Natural language reporting for hospitality

The report builder has been let go. It took it well.

You ask for it. You don’t build it.

There’s no report builder to learn before you can find something out. Ask why a cabin netted less last quarter and the answer draws on reservations, maintenance and accounting together.

  • No field picker, no saved queries
  • Reports, dashboards and analyses
  • Scoped to a property or unit

Animation: an operator asks why Cabin 7 netted less in Q3 than in Q2, and Apex returns an analysis with three findings, one each from reservations, maintenance and accounting.

Four questions. One report. No exports that disagree.

Every real question is four questions. ADR by unit type. Now weekday against weekend. Now add occupancy. Now against last year. In ApexOS each follow-up edits the same report, so there is one version on screen.

  • Follow-ups edit, they don’t duplicate
  • Compare to last year in a sentence
  • One version, always the current one

Animation: four follow-up questions edit the same report in turn: ADR by unit type, split into weekday and weekend, occupancy added, then compared to last year.

It shows its work. Unlike your last spreadsheet.

An answer you can’t check is an answer you take on faith. Every artifact lists the data it was built from, and its tables export to CSV for whoever wants to check the math.

  • Data sources listed on every report
  • Tables export to CSV
  • Every prompt kept in the activity log

Animation over a photo of an operator working on a laptop by a pool: a report lists its three data sources, and its table is exported to CSV.

The Monday report now arrives before Monday does.

When a question is worth asking every week, stop asking it. Schedule the artifact and it refreshes itself weekly, or set it to live and it reads the system as it is now.

  • Weekly refresh, set once
  • Live for the numbers that move
  • Private, or shared with your team

Animation: in the artifact library, the weekly revenue report is put on a schedule from its menu, and the Scheduled filter shows it alongside the daily arrivals dashboard.

AI report & dashboard features

Everything a report builder does, minus the report builder.

A report for the numbers, a dashboard for the numbers you check daily, a document for SOPs and owner packets, an analysis for what changed and why, and templates to start the next one.

Five kinds of answer

How AI reporting works in ApexOS

Ask. Read. Ask again. Keep it.

No fields to pick, no exports to reconcile. The question is the report, and the follow-up is the edit.

Natural language reporting & hospitality analytics FAQs

Reasonable questions.

What is natural language reporting?

Natural language reporting means asking for an answer in a sentence instead of building a report to produce it. A report builder makes you translate the question into fields, filters and date ranges first. In ApexOS you ask directly, Apex builds the report from your property data, and a follow-up edits the same report instead of producing a second one.

Is there a report builder in ApexOS?

No, and that is on purpose. ApexOS has a library of standard reports, and for everything else you ask. What a builder really gives you is a saved layout, and a saved artifact does that job without anyone maintaining it.

What kinds of questions can we ask?

Anything your property data covers. For example: a weekly revenue report; a daily arrivals dashboard; ADR and RevPAR by unit type against last year; which menu items and categories sold last month; missed calls from last month; why a unit netted less this quarter; or an owner update packet.

How do we know the numbers are right?

Check them. Each artifact lists the data sources it was built from and keeps every prompt that shaped it, and its tables export to CSV so anyone can check the working.

Who can create and see artifacts?

Anyone on your team with access to reports can create one, which by default means owners, admins and members. An artifact is private to the person who made it until they share it with the account.
